Key Worker Face Shields

During the pandemic, I contacted my old employee to borrow their 3D printers to make face shields for those in need. Over the course of 5 weeks, I made over 600 face shields. These were used by a variety of key workers, including NHS ICU nurses, Hospice workers, GP surgeries and teachers.

Each shields used a 3d printed headband, an acetate sheet, wing nuts and bolts and a foam insert, to provide the user with an adjustable visor to help protect them for the COVID-19 virus.

A big thank you must go to the team at Print For Victory and the North and Western Chamber of Commerce for their help to distribute the face shields, as well as Fulwood Academy for lending their 3D printers and providing materials.
